Disneyland Park Project has started
A huge Disneyland Park Project has started in Belek. At the moment, the contractor has surrounded eastern and southern part of the plot with a steel construction to hang posters of the project for advertisement but also concealing the construction site.The dual carriage road is under construction from main Antalya- Mersin road to Belek center and where the park will be and will be completed in a few months.
The project will be carried on by Rixos Group on a 63 hectar land ( 630.000 m2) in a central location, that will be the only theme park of its kind in the Middle East and Asia. The park will be constructed and opened gradually within 3 years and it will cost the investors about 300 million USD.
In the project, besides the Disneyland, there will be a giant aquarium that will be the 6/7 largest in the world. A sport complex, fun and shopping areas, pedestrian and byscle lanes will be some of the other amenities of the park.
Upon the completion of the project, Belek is expected to have a tourist boom and tourism will be spreaded over 12 months of the year
Glittering Belek Project has been completed!
Belek Municipality has carried out a large construction to make the whole town a pleasure to visit. The completed project is called Glittering Belek Project. All the ground pavement of the town has been changed into travertine marble ( and partially granite), all the streets and squares in the center has a nice landscape design, trees, water fountains and illumination. All the electric cables in the center have been taken underground, there are benches set along the pedestrian lanes, illumination along the water fountains and on the ground, a huge water fountain in the main square to provide a feast of water and light.
Acisu River Rehabilitation Project
There is a rehabilitation project along the Acisu River which surrounds the town like an emerald green belt. Upon the completion of the project, there will be a approximatelly30 meters wide green belt along the river which will be an attractive recreational area for residants and tourists with restaurants, walking paths and parks. The project is in the process of elabotarion by Belek Municipality.
